Creating
- Ended up purchasing a year of the No Fusion camera app for my new phone. It's quite fun to use, and the weeks without it I found myself saying "Gee, I should buy that app". Might get some more photos up soon.
- Decided to vibe code out a CalDAV client for my Radicale server. I'm finding that Apple Reminders is fine for most tasks, but I'd like something that's truly my own and only has specific features I use. Turns out CalDAV is hard to sync with, I completely understand why todo apps build custom backends now.
- Finally got the UPS I bought 2 months ago delivered, then set it up with NUT for my mini rack. Very cool system. I also learned that the power to my apartment isn't as perfect as I'd originally thought!
Working & Living
- Naarm has really turned on the weather for the last couple weeks. Super cold, cosy, and rainy days, followed by some absolutely stunning cold and sunny ones.
- I'm thoroughly enjoying work at the moment. The project I've been working on has been really stretching my knowledge in a lot of areas that I've always wanted to dig deeper into (Control planes, plugin systems, and queuing).
Playing
- Still grinding out Apex. The new wildcard mode is awesome.
- I'm finally getting some decent progress into Baldurs Gate 3 on my own. Last time I played was with some friends but it turned out to be really hard to get everyone together consistently to sink some time into it. I think solo is the way to go for now.
- Played Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 last night with some mates, gorgeous game. The devs have outdone themselves on this one, what a jump from SM1!
Listening
- The new Ninajirachi/Porter Robinson track is pretty great.
- Back into my rhythm games daily, discovered a fun track from the prolific DECO*27: DECO*27 – Monitoring
