Vibing
- I made my vibe-coded app "Fold" public the other week (Docs, GitHub). I'm still figuring out how I feel about vibed personal software being made public. At the very least this is something for me that would've taken a lot longer without an LLM and I've been using it pretty much every day since building it.
- I've also put together my first Minecraft server plugin and client mod since my very first few back when I used to run a reasonably large public server. When Bukkit was the only option for server software in something like 2011 or so. It's called Xaero Sync and all it does is store your waypoints on the server to avoid having to sync your folders of waypoints manually between devices/modpacks/etc.
Computing
- I've been loving the move back to Linux on my personal desktop. This time without too much tinkering on Fedora 44 Workstation, it's very cosy and I don't have to think about it.
- I'm heading to a local tech market / swap meet thing tomorrow. Could be an interesting adventure, or a reminder that there's a memory and storage crisis preventing me from beefing up my homelab. We'll see.
Existing
- I'm still feeling the effects of the horrible cold from the last couple weeks. I've lost weight (which is very normal for me) and gone a bit backwards at the gym too. I need to remind myself this is normal and I'll get back to where I was. I've gone back with a personal trainer to tighten this up and do it right.
- The seasons are starting to change again here, it's getting slightly warmer during the day and the bugs are starting to come out. As a winter fan this is a bit of a sad time but at least Naarm springs are the best non-winter time of the year.
